I have spent most of my working life in Glasgow in IT with Weirs of Cathcart. Weirs sold our company in 2001. Under the same management I worked in offices beside Rolls Royce in Hillington. I am now well retired and quite enjoying it would you believe.
From University I worked in London and flatted with Ronnie Manson and Glasgow graduate Gavin Foulds, a very good friend of Alan Christie. Sadly both Gavin and Alan have since died. At least in spirit Gavin is back in his beloved Isle of Arran.
From London I got a job in the States. However the lure of a Glasgow lass, Lesley, brought me back to Glasgow and married life. We have three sons with a grandchild on the way. Lesley lives in hope of some female company at some time in her family life but just not so far away as two of the boys live in Sydney now. I think Douglas Kean is/was working in one of the Universities there. The youngest is a traveller currently in the Middle East but will probably end up in Oz as well. My interests apart from family are now racketball (squash is too hard), and the occasional hill walk if my knees hold out. Thank goodness for the sticks.
